About

EduDelta is a service learning project that aims to provide educational opportunities to underprivileged individuals. EduDelta recognises the challenges experienced by underprivileged individuals and seeks to address this issue through the provision of quality tuition classes for students from lower income families.

The essence of our rationale to start this project is captured in our mission statement.

Mission
To empower individuals through the tools of education and thereby inspire a positive change in them.

In order to achieve its mission, EduDelta promotes five objectives as tools towards empowering individuals.

Objectives
(1) Provide educational opportunities to underprivileged individuals from low-income families, who would otherwise be possibly disadvantaged by their family circumstances.

(2) Generate greater appreciation and awareness of the empowering nature of education.

(3) Promote greater social interactions and cohesion among participating parties, including but not restricted to students, teacher volunteers and project members.

(4) Provide a suitable environment for teacher volunteers to discover their teaching passion and express their positive qualities.

(5) Enhance youth participation in community service.

What we (intend to) do
EduDelta intends to provide a conducive environment for students to think, learn and grow. Under the supervision of carefully selected teaching volunteers, students will receive individual attention in a small group setting. The tuition classes are designed to help students fulfill their full learning potential.
