EduDelta operates like a small startup by a group of youths, maintaining a corporate front when dealing with the ‘adults’ and staying hip with the ‘kids’. There’s no hierarchy; there’s only a core team surrounded by volunteers. As we are trying to build a community rather than an organization, we emphasize heavily on social networking amongst the people involved in our work.

A Candid shot during our meeting
Meetings are often informal affairs where we crack jokes between our discussions and poke fun at absent members or their other commitments. Besides meetings we would hope to organize retreats for our Core Team sometimes to come up with creative ideas for any problems we encounter and to decide on how to execute the next step of our plans.
EduDelta is a keen user of latest internet technologies and innovations for collaborative work given the nature of our project. Our Core Team uses Google Documents extensively for online collaboration work and the MSN as a primary platform for online meetings or real-time discussion. There are plans to tap on the power of cloud computing services to set up ‘online workstations’ to provide file depository service. Our experience with these technologies would hopefully give us a chance to advise similar project teams in future about project management and collaborative work management systems.
EduDelta is interested in developing individuals who are part of the team and each of the Core Team members are encouraged to fight for the work they desire within the project so that they get the chance to hone their soft skills ranging from presentation, inter-personal communication to bargaining and planning. This is balanced by our desire ensure that EduDelta doesn’t become a chore for anyone in our team and thus workload is allocated based on the level of commitment each member is willing to contribute.
If all these sounds like fun for you and you believe you have what it takes to contribute, join us!
